Measures 3633e, 3662e, and 3663e endorsed by the National Quality Forum in the Fall 2021 Patient Safety cohort 

1. Scientific Methods Committee reviewed scientific merit;
2. Patient Safety Committee reviewed feasibility, implementation issues, and public comments;
3. Consensus Standards Approval Committee (CSAC) endorsed the measure in fall 2022.

Submitted to the CMS Measures Under Consideration (MUC) List in spring 2022.

Recommended for inclusion in CMS programs by the large, multistakeholder Measures Application Partnership (MAP) review in January 2023.

Included in CMS preliminary rules in summer 2023, receiving more than 100 public comments in support from radiologists and other physicians, medical physicists, radiologic technologists, professional societies, healthcare safety and quality organizations, patients and patient advocate organizations, large purchasing groups, cancer epidemiologists, and others. 

Officially adopted into the:  

1. Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting Program, with the CY 2025 reporting period, FY 2027 payment determination
2. Hospital Outpatient Quality Reporting Program, with voluntary reporting for the CY 2025 reporting period and mandatory reporting beginning with the CY 2027 reporting period, CY 2029 payment determination 
3. Merit-based Incentive Payment System (for physicians), with the CY 2025 reporting period, FY 2027 payment determination
